Movie Review: The Help

10 Nov

The Story:

An aspiring author during the civil rights movement of the 1960’s decides to write a book detailing the African-American maid’s point of view on the white families for which they work, and the hardships they go through on a daily basis.

The Trailer:

My Opinion:

Love it .. Love it!!

The movie was long .. more than 2 hours .. yet .. i didn’t feel it .. i wanted to watch more of it!!

Now before i go on .. i mentioned that i was in Dubai in Eid right?! .. well .. i was traveling alone .. so most of my time was already in cinema 🙂 .. so you will see more of those movie reviews coming :p

Now .. back to the movie .. i’m already in the middle of reading “The Help” book .. so i was like .. should i finish it and then go to the movie .. or should i go to the movie anyway!! .. i will not be able to finish it in couple of days since it is a 500 something book and i’m reaching page 150 now!!

I decided to go .. and good thing .. it was not exactly as the book .. actually it made me more eager to finish the book .. now i have faces to map with the characters of the book 😉

The movie was really nice and smooth .. maybe because i’m reading the book .. but i think good movies can be recognized .. and this is one of them .. don’t miss it!
